The University of Oxford (informally Oxford University, or simply Oxford) is a university located in Oxford, United Kingdom. It is the third oldest surviving university and the oldest university in the English-speaking world.^[6][7] Although the exact date of foundation remains unclear, there is evidence of teaching there as far back as the 11th century.
